4B, or not 4B, that is the question

4B was my class in 4th year at secondary school.

No idea if that helps. ^_^

Call me a cynical old git, but I can’t really see the point or what it will accomplish.

I feel sorry for the poor woke liberal men who will have to go without sex for 4 years, when they almost certainly didn’t vote for Trump anyway.

You are a cynical old git.

Oh was I not supposed to say it?

Just kidding.

Some 4Bers are saying 'not for any man'. Others are saying of project 4B ''don't spread for red''. I don't think they are just talking about sandwich making, but I've been wrong before.

Warning: serious post from me alert.

Aren't women right to be concerned about their reproductive rights as women, especially with Trump in the Whitehouse? Trump voters have effectively decided that women should not have the rights pertaining to their own bodies, and some of those voters are in fact women.

How many men are going to start calling for a rerun of the election? If 4B are embraced by women, how long is it going to take? Is the divorce rate set to rise in the USA?

Trump voters have effectively decided that women should not have the rights pertaining to their own bodies, and some of those voters are in fact women.

The vote split for women was 54/44 in favour of Harris.
So that’s still an awful lot of women who clearly don’t care or have other things to worry about.
I guess younger women probably skewed ever more towards Harris. Abortion rights don’t really matter on a personal level to post menopausal women.

Depends what you mean by personal. Do they have daughters, grand daughters?
I think the church might be bigger factor than the menopause.

There is nothing to say that both of things you say can not be contributory factors. I doubt there is a single cause. Bob and I don't always see eye to eye, but on this occasion I think he is on point.

Before I was aware of 4B, just this morning to be honest, I was already attempting to map a range of factors to the 2024 voting record. I tried wealth inequality, average measured IQ across all states, and educational achievement. None were a close fit.

I then tried religious belief split between Baptists and Catholics, as well as small towns compared with cities. I then found strong correlations while noting that correlation is suggestive of cause though not evidence of cause.

I didn't search for a fit between menopausal women and younger women, not sure how reliable any data would be for that, since the two factors of young/older and menopausal/ not menopausal would both be at play within a single data set.
