...and in the very realistic fear of loosing the vote on the war powers resolution, Grindr 'Moses' Mike Johnson cancelled the vote and kicked the can down the street and set it to another date.

We need to beware of loose votes and loose language.

JACO Johnson, just like his boss.

No, like many, he has to appeal to an audience of 1.
Trump would have given him the elbow had the vote gone through.
You see: it's Trump's DOJ, it's Trump's DHS, Blanche is Trump's personal lawyer etc.

The astonishing thing is that there seems to be no mechanism to stop him just putting his tiny hands in the till. I still remember claiming about £20 in petty cash via the official Devon County Council channel, and it had to be countersigned by four different people.
Apparently, once the 1st payout is made the victims can go to court objecting. I heard that Democrats are trying to form a group of victims from the insurrection. (I'm no lawyer, just repeating reports).
Whatever the outcome, it is hopefully making more in the US aware of what's happening.
January 6 police officers sue Trump over $1.8bn fund, alleging ‘presidential corruption’
Two police officers who clashed with rioters at the US Capitol during the January 6 insurrection in 2021 have sued Donald Trump over plans to create a $1.776bn “anti-weaponization” fund.

The fund, which critics have argued is essentially a slush fund, is set to compensate allies of the US president who he claims were victims of prosecutorial overreach.

It was created as part of an agreement in which Trump and his sons dropped a $10bn long-shot lawsuit against the US Internal Revenue Service (IRS).

Harry Dunn, a retired US Capitol police officer, and Daniel Hodges, a Metropolitan police department officer, filed a complaint in US district court in Washington DC on Tuesday.

“In the most brazen act of presidential corruption this century, President Donald J Trump has created a $1.776bn taxpayer-funded slush fund to finance the insurrectionists and paramilitary groups that commit violence in his name,” the lawsuit says.

I bought a tin of paint this morning. The staff member told me that the range I had chosen only comes in quarts and gallons.

Paint mixed and paid for, I asked was the quarts thing, some kind of retro nonsense?. They told me they were sorry, but the paint comes from an American company. But it's less bad because the warehousing and packaging is done in Ireland, which is a good thing.

Seems like Donny's charm has reached little old Taunton.

Haha, and US recipes measured in cups (volume) and ounces (weight) and fluid ounces (volume) , rather than just grammes. It's no wonder they are so screwed that they can't even update cookery measurements into one coherent system. And then there's the comedy of them justifying their date system which goes (in size of unit) middle; small; large, and you get USanians trying to justify it as logical. It's the same logic that it's better to sell kevlar school bags to children, send thoughts and prayers, rather than take guns away from the general public and nutters.

Does it also only come in orange (or gold).

I'm no chef, but I think cups are a superior measurement for many things.

Some of Microsoft services have the habit of randomly resetting the date format to month first in some of their tools. It drives everyone mad, Australians in particular give it both barrels in the forums every time it happens. Oh, and Sunday as the first day of the week in calendar widgets :banghead:
