Amid reports of Vitamin A poisoning, following conspiracy theorist and vaccine denier Health Secretary RFK jnr's promotion of Vitamin A to treat measles, he now claims without evidence, that the Texas outbreak of the disease is flattening.

The same Health Secretary praises a doctors treating patients with natural remedies and prayers, one of whom was sick with measles while "treating" patients.

Does America want its friends back?
After three months of insulting, tariffing and even threatening to annex some of its best allies, the Trump administration suddenly needs some help.
The US President has now escalated a full-on trade clash with China that he doesn’t seem to know how to win. So the administration is rushing to work out how to build leverage against Chinese President Xi Jinping, who is in no mood to cede to Trump’s bullying.

I think someone should rat on Trump for starters.

I guess the US is going for that sweet spot between Russian oligarchy, fascism, and an Islamic fundamentalist state.

TBF, that is an entirely disjointed article.
Whilst I realise that trying to work out the hypocrites and contradictions in Trumps approach is somewhat difficult given when it is evident that there really isn't any proper thinking or assembly of opinion behind them, hypothesising has almost zero efficacy.
The author would like and the situation presents an opportunity but the author may be disappointed. He gives the idiots too much credit when it is plainly obvious the 'advisors' are totally underqualified.

It's almost as though the freshers at the LSE have come up with a plan whilst being stoned.

That's because early western Christians had no idea what people born in Israel looked like so unsurprisingly they painted him like themselves, including clean shaven and short haired in older images. The current traditional images - especially the centre parting and 2 pointed beard - are likely influenced by the Turin Shroud's appearance and more recently Holman Hunt's famous picture.

Yes, it's an unrealistic, idealised image but there are historical reasons for it and such romantic idealism is not unusual in religious art. It's in everything from Egyptian tombs to Hindu imagery. Nobody is going to change it now.

AI is having a field day with the Turin Shroud.

I am pretty sure @secretsqirrel knows that. I am also pretty sure that most USchristofascists don't, and would actively argue against the argument if presented with it.

I think they know he wouldn't have looked like that but they don't care, anymore than mainstream non christofascist Catholics care about the romanticised portrayals of Mary in their art. Humans create their gods (mostly) in their own image; there's a long history of doing so and it's not necessarily some fascist or racist conspiracy.
