This small interaction between me and Drago, about a racist thing Liam Neeson said a while back, made me wonder how what an actor says or does when he or she is not acting might put you off watching their films (or a director e.g. Roman Polanski and Woody Allen, or a singer with their music, etc). I figured such a thread might eventually get locked, so here we go.

The subject matter of that post was the newest Naked Gun, which has a gag about OJ Simpson. Aside from the earlier films in that franchise, skipping his filmography doesn't present any great sacrifice.

Emma Thompson for the sanctimony and bleeding heart liberal credentials. Yeah she's great in most of her roles but she makes me want to drive 6 inch nails into my own head whenever she's interviewed or collecting an award. James Corden and Bono are right up there too Corden's comedy chops are a mystery to me too, I just don't get him whereas I do at least like the odd U2 song and Thompson film. Corden just comes off as a fat entitled b@stard who's nasty to waiters and people who he sees as beneath him. I expect this list to be quite extensive if I give it any thought!

I'm adding Nish Kumar to my list. Just a fvcking sh1t comedian. I think Michael McIntyre might qualify too although I can at least see why he has broad appeal even if I don't get him personally.

Luckily we don't have racist and sexist "entertainers" like Jim Davidson on our TVs anymore.

I wasn't particularly fond of the late Mr Rowe, but I did text some friends, when I was heading for Penzance, to say that the train had stopped at Camborne - which amused them.

Thread closed as far as I'm concerned. Nailed it.
