Is it possible to block posts with links to Elon's hell site?

Not that I know, but you can ignore users... I dunno, is there someone who can't stop spamming the forum with X-shite?

I have never actually tried to open any of the X/Twitter links, but, I assume that not having an X/Twitter account means that I could not do so, even if I had the dubious desire to do so.

The "Ignore List" functionality works well. Only shortcoming is a few who persist in quoting and replying to those posts which just perpetuates the problem.

If I remember correctly, you can view X links without creating an account.

The issue (I think) is viewing X content inside the post(s) and to do that you have to click something to say you're OK with that. Once you have said OK, it's difficult to go back on that decision.

As others have said, it may be easier to just ignore the user.

I don't find the links at all troubling. They advertise their stupidity in the graphic and shouty text, so there's no need to look further. Just skate over to something interesting.

Irritating aspect is when you then get the endless quoting pointing out the blindingly obvious stupidity sometimes going on for many posts 1+ pages. Breaks thoughtful discussion.

As you say, the "Ignore function" filters out the Twitter posts but doesn't the endless counter insults from others.

Exactly this. There are a lot of interesting and thoughtful posters here, including many I don't (always) agree with.

I know I've made the analogy before, but it's like going into a pub with a lot of interesting friends, but some nutter comes over, sits at your table spouting bollocks very loudly, and instead of just ignoring him, every conversation is derailed by the nutter. It's tiresome at best.
