Well done Vicky. Good timing.

Nice to see some politicians still have integrity rather than prioritising their own career path.

And on Newsnight last night in the No 10 briefing apparently (BBC report) No 10 couldn't even bring themselves to use her name apparently.

And (as BBC said) Starmer not made any "thank her for her valuable contributions to Government ..." (at least not yet and given they made a point of that one would have expected it by now - but they were putting that done to Starmer's character).

On the Today programme this morning we hear that Vicky Foxcroft has resigned the Labour Whip.

After years really communicating with disabled people's organisations she lost that job when Labour were elected. I feared she had compromised - thankfully not.

She is my MP. She was very active as Shadow Disabilities minister but she got dragged into being whip. It's good to see that she's stepped back from that.

I lived in Lewisham borough before her time. Now live in Greenwich - ha ha!
Will the Labour rebels now hold out? Dare we hope?
Starmer was clearly not willing to bung his shopping in the Tory cart quite yet, though I guess they'd have bought it.
