I like a lot of the aforementioned comedians. But I hate Frankie Boyle. I don't know why, I think he just goes to far and it actually feels to me like he's genuinely targeting and taunting those less fortunate than him. But my response is to just not watch him whenever he is on TV.

An unregulated forum like this one, is slightly different. one could argue that you can just not come on here, but that also means that you have to give up the whole of something that you enjoy. A bit like someone saying to me, if you find Frankie Boyle offensive then don't watch TV. Well, I shouldn't have to forgo TV because of one twat who appears on it.

However, everyone has their own levels of what is offensive and it probably has a lot to do with who is saying it. I loved and respected Les Dawson so I find all his MIL jokes funny. If I hated Les Dawson like I do Frankie Boyle then I would probably have taken offfense at those same jokes.

Likewise, if my son had Down's Syndrome, I would probably hate every comedian who made a joke about DS. But because no-one I know has it, and I've not felt 1st had what it's like to be teased about it, then it doesn't affect me.

I think he has mellowed a little as he has got older. He does seem to be better now at aiming his biting jokes where they should be aimed.

Sorry to drag this up again, but I noticed this thread has become a bit lively so I had a read through to see what was I was missing.
I have to agree with the mods. That giant goose in the background is a bit sinister and would likely scare the kids.

I think he's realised that kind of humour is out of fashion and he doesn't want to get cancelled anymore than anybody else would.

It's weird how feted Saturday Night Live is.
I sometimes watch it for the music bits but the sketches are usually pretty weak and often too long so I fast forward through them.
