Confidence - yes she is always certain that she is right about everything.

I always tend to think about an incoming leader as whether they would embarrass the nation in the international community. In the case of Badenoch I don't happen think her somewhat aggressive behaviour and lack of temperance would serve us well abroad as a nation - probably no better than Farage had done as an MEP. Opinions may vary.

Worth remembering that we'd be mired in the Iran war had we gone with her initial view. Clearly changing one's mind on that is easier said than done. So had she been on the world stage then?

It wasn’t literally the previous government and he didn’t, as far as I know, try to distance himself from them.

If I'm understanding the question correctly, I'd say she was not on the world stage as she was not our representative, but she was in the world's eye nonetheless.

My point is that she's an expert naysayer. Theres not much correlation between that and being a good decision maker.

Rory Stewart, who would not be welcome to the Badenoch gang, pointed out that Thatcher would throw people out of the cabinet occasionally for disagreeing with her but even she would not expel them or have them deselected from the party.

Yep, and it’s a failure on many levels.

Another thing mentioned with regards to Badenoch ‘net zero loyalty test’ is that many of her MPs would have voted for May’s amendments to strengthen the Bill. She now thinks it OK to ask them to denounce it.

But that's the thing - I think the public is, er, warming to net zero as they see the planet burn, so Badenoch isn't even winning votes with it. Well, maybe she is, from the nutters, but losing more of those who can see what's going on.
