What are you expecting from this budget?

Are you actively taking steps to protect your finances?

I’m fed up of the leaks and rumours so will be glad when it’s all announced.

I have already started most of my pensions so that side is unlikely to affect me.

I am expecting to pay a bit extra one way or the other but nothing that will change my life or make me cut back on anything.

IHT changes could affect how much my kids get after we pop our clogs but I haven’t done anything to get round it. They are adults now and can take their chances and they’re quite happy with that.

I am more concerned that any extra the government gets should help improve the infrastructure of the country.

Can't remember a budget being so anticipated as this one. Not just what's in it but in regards to the implications for Labour and their manifesto pledges. Might turn out to be a damp squid that changes little for most of us.

For Labour, could drown them. The rumour mill re financial implications for workers, pensioners etc.

Personally, timing wise, by the skin of our teeth, have completed a deal and tomorrow are doing some planning to cut off the chances of legislation changes. If legislation doesn't change, we are no worse off, but could be mightily pissed if we dont do it tomorrow and it does change in the budget

so RfA has issued a chunk of the budget today, the confirmation of things like the milkshake tax and the tourist tax.
Why? Can she not wait until tomorrow?

In 2019, 52% of income was taxed. Assumed RfA freezes allowances again, that will rise to 64% in 2030.
That's going to really help growth ................................................. not.

Just trying to work out why my pager is bleeping...

Eggcorn alert. Sorry, should have been specific.

So the housing market is in cardiac arrest.
Likewise the employment market.
The words economic growth have been removed from Rachel's vocab.
I think Rachel might be feeling a bit dizzy following all the leaks and U-turns over the last 6 weeks.

An 'interesting' lunchtime ahead.

Kemi Badenoch absolutely destroyed RFA. Never seen such a glum government front bench.
