Looks like Starmers DID is going to fail. Scottish government dont support it

Online petition hit 500k in hours

Hell even Owen Jones is refusing to back it.

The mini poll on here is mirroring other bigger polls

Looks like their will be lots of ID card burning.

Maybe starmer could bring in another blasphemy law though shall not burn the 'BritCard'

Biometric passports exist already, so what's the problem?

FAFO.
This so called card will plug into every aspect of your life, bank, medical, social, travel.

They the government will be able to track every aspect of your life.

Mahoosive intrusion into people day to day living.

Then the 1984 scenario, social control

No thankyou

In other news, the sky is blue and grass is green.

This isn't new, and you're hopelessly naive of you think it is.

There is no naivety now with the British public. After nearly 30 years of lies. They won't tolerate being sold a crap idea.

I see as of now, the DID card dead in the water. Even if the government force it on us, take up will be rejected and it will fail.

No naivety with the British public? That's a good one.

That's what the left think the Brits are dumb and naive.

Konstantin Kisin has a good handle on what has happened over the last decade or so, here and in the US

I disagree. Mostly because there isn't really a "left" in Britain. Our mainstream politicians are centrist, and the ones who even vaguely stray to the left are ridiculed.

My comment about naivety relates to the popularity of Reform. Anyone who thinks they'll be capable of running the country is deluded.

And before I get the usual "That's leftiebollox" spiel, it's not. It's obvious, but because Farage likes a pint and a fag people think he's some kind of genius.

You are probably correct, Reform will almost certainly be crap, rather similar to previous UK Governments.

If they get power, they will not be using MPs for ministerial roles. They will bring in private industry experts with track records of doing the job.

Make them lords so can take up these positions in parliament.

Much better to have people with skills than fakes like Rachel from accounts.
