It’s only fair.
Why should MAGAs have the monopoly on tin foil?

I veer towards the fact that it was an actual assassination attempt but the apparent lack of investigation in itself raises questions:
Where and when are the trials?
Would the perpetrators state opinions in court on Trump that the administration would find uncomfortable?
Is the FBI and the DOJ too pre-occupied because they are Trumps legal team working on 'more important things'?
Why are these events buried? That is the question.

At the time, Trump wasnt president. Biden was, so FBI and other authorities were under his control.

Information re the incident is scant to say the least

Thomas Matthew Crooks (September 20, 2003 – July 13, 2024), a 20-year-old from Bethel Park, Pennsylvania, was the shooter.
Key Details:
On July 13, 2024, at a Donald Trump campaign rally in Butler, Pennsylvania, Crooks climbed onto the roof of a nearby building (American Glass Research/AGR building, about 130–150 yards from the stage).
He fired eight rounds from an AR-15-style rifle (purchased legally by his father), grazing Trump’s right ear, killing one attendee (Corey Comperatore), and critically injuring two others.
He was shot and killed by a U.S. Secret Service counter-sniper team shortly after opening fire (within about 26 seconds of the first shot).
The FBI identified him the next day and concluded he acted alone. His motive remains unclear despite extensive investigation.
This is confirmed by official FBI statements, congressional reports, and widespread news coverage.

Of who? The gunman was shot dead by agents pretty quickly.

No no, Charlie Kirk's murder for example and even when the perpetrator was shot, there's usually an investigation, background reports etc.
Perhaps there was but it's was drowned out by other noise and added to the long list.

Whilst I no idea about the allegations, no facts, it is possible that maybe there has been a full investigation but that as the security services are maybe embarrassed that perpetrator got so close or that investigations would identify their normal protection procedures that the investigations were internal and kept secret?

For it to be an assassination attempt, by the person shot and killed, it'd be a good idea to carry ammunition of the correct caliber. Shell casings removed from the site were the wrong size for the gun said to have been used.

And Thomas Crooks, wasn't around long after either.
"My effort to examine Crooks' body on Monday, August 5, caused quite a stir and revealed a disturbing fact … the FBI released the body for cremation 10 days after J13," Higgins wrote in the report. "On J23, Crooks was gone. Nobody knew this until Monday, August 5, including the County Coroner, law enforcement, Sheriff, etc."

Higgins said the Butler County Coroner "technically had legal authority over the body, but I spoke with the Coroner, and he would have never released Crooks' body to the family for cremation or burial without specific permission from the FBI."

There is madness, psychological issues in need of treatment.

None of this would out of place or surprising in a dementia care home. I think that future historians will look back and wonder how he was allowed to carry on as POTUS for so long when it's clear that he's away with the fairies, his brain constructing an alternative reality to accommodate his fantasy world that has only a tenuous link with the world as it actually is.

In some respects, whilst Trūmp is not a pleasant person, illness is sad and that nobody around him, none of his family will step in to help speaks volumes about those around him.

It's a tricky one, given the obvious prognosis, and in most cases sympathy and concern would be the appropriate reaction. Let's just say it's quite challenging to take that view in this particular case, for a number of reasons, but the heaviest opprobrium should be heaped on those who are exploiting his worsening illness for their nefarious ends.
