It's quite staggering the ignorance and arrogance of the US leadership at the moment.
Renaming the Defence Department to the Department of War told us a lot.
Thinking NATO is an aggressive military alliance is simply showing how thick Trump and Hogsbreath are.
Claiming NATO have never come to the US's aid is such a blatant lie.
The US has no power to suspend Spain from NATO.

In addition to it's military war with Iran, the US is currently literally starving Cuba - severe food and energy shortages.

The mid-terms can't come soon enough geo-politically, though Trump seems to rule by presedential decree rather than through the elected houses.

My current view: Let them leave even encourage them to leave.
I recognise that this will impact NATO but at the moment we (NATO without US) cannot rely on the US, they may they may not and for Putin that's enough to dramatically lessen the deterrent.

Uncertainty disrupts Europe from getting on with its defence. We have work to do but even today without the US Putin would lose were he to confront European NATO. Let's get on with long term strategy we can rely on rather than not knowing what's happening tomorrow.
