I assume Rubio thinks that this is a positive thing. Perhaps he could explain that to his line manager.

According to The Lincoln Project, from sources inside the Whitehouse, Trump doesn't see Vance as his successor. He sent Vance to negotiate with Iran - he failed. He has put Vance in the spotlight on numerous occasions where he hasn't come out of it looking good. The theory is that this is deliberate. Rubio is the only one with a level head and the flip side, is that Rubio is also playing it in a fashion where he can distance himself from Trump in the future.

A great piece of impassioned writing in light of the gutting of the Voting Rights Act by the partisan US Supreme Court.

We hope that no matter what they try to do, Trump becomes so toxic that no manner of interfrence will preserve the majority in cingress.senate.

It doesn't mean much, other than this genuine photo (released by Chinese press, which isn't under any obligations to Trump) is really going to wind up Trump. TBH, it just shows an average 79-year-old man, and there's nothing wrong with that, but given Trump is so desperate to sell a false image of himself, it's quite funny.

Trump's White House ballroom loses federal funding proposed by Senate Republicans.

Seems it's getting quite lively about the 'settlement' of Trump's $10bn claim against the IRS - in fact, it's not a settlement at all as he's just withdrawn his claim in in response to a corrupt funnelling of $1.7bn to a Trump-controlled slush fund to pay his political allies in the J6 insurrection (and anyone else he feels like paying). It's wildly illegal of course, and Jamie Raskin suggests it's in effect funding for a Trump-controlled militia, his own Trumpraetorian Guard.

I hope the Democrats are keeping a list, in case they ever prise the keys to the White House from Trump's clammy, bruised little hands.

It is blatantly open in plain sight corruption.
I remember one Musk quote from early on, although probably not verbatim. "It can't be corrupt if we say what we are doing".
