FWIW, I don't think that the 'lifetime no audit' thing will have any legal substance, once the Trump mafioso operation has been purged. The laws still remain in place (albeit many overshadowed by the partisan Supreme Court judgements), and just because Todd Blanche is making stuff up to benefit Trump won't mean that the laws can't be applied in the future (normal caveats about normality returning, of course).

Apparently it has been clarified to relate only to the current ongoing investigations (though those are pretty massive). But it's "ambiguous as apparently the settlement document is "ever about anything" but the clarification is that the "ever" only relates to ongoing cases (ie won't ever be re-opened) but everybody knows what will happen in reality ...

As I say, that 'settlement' is just a legal fiction: Blanche's letter carries no legal authority, AFAIK. Just because he says so doesn't make it so.

Absolutely nothing wrong with 'anybody but a Republican' if it is shorthand for 'anybody but someone who supports and implements Trump's Republican Party's policies and actions'.

Yes, the guy who beat Massie did not run on a single policy. MAGA: Zero ideology.
Massie voted on political issues with the Republicans 91% of the time but he did not favour the Iran conflict and he did sign the Epstein discharge petition. That was the problem for Trump.

This is a MAGA on the possible election fraud conspiracy bandwagon:

For once, a piece on the US Constitution that is more than arguing over dry words. Specifically, the 14th Amendment, and how Trump is trying to pull it apart, as it was apparently written to prevent the abuses of exactly the type that the Republicans are trying to carry out wholesale.

A long piece (longer than my posts) with only hope at the end of it and no meaningful summary.

What kind of summary do you want? It's well structured, lays out the relevant bits of the Constitution that are being flouted, and suggests how/why Trump is deliberately targeting various bits of it.

You could always ask AI if the piece doesn't press the buttons you want pressed, but given that Trump is likely to ignore any legal actions to rein him in, it's probably moot anyway.

Yes and she's asking for pushback. I will concede that.
