China should increase the prices of anything they export to the US that has been exempt from the tariffs. It's basically an acknowledgement that the US can't live without those products.

No - just posting poorly researched nonsense. A French court convicted her but did not punish as the evidence was very weak and arguably her actions were a byproduct of politics rather than criminality. The conviction had nothing to do with predictions or the IMF.
I can give a prediction though. I predict that within the next 7 days you will post something that you have not researched and which proves not to be true. Oddly, you and I don't always disagree on politics. It baffles me as to why you just keep posting nonsense though.
IMF projections for Global Growth have been within 1 of actual growth. Individual countries often criticise the IMF for being too gloomy or too optimistic depending on the dictator in charge. The biggest source of error for the IMF is OECD forecasts that they rely on.

I don't think we are all that far from an export ban from China to the US on some goods.
Critical minerals would cause US significant problems (incl. no more processing raw critical minerals mined in US then shipped to China for processing). I've no idea what sort of stockpiles US has but China is in no rush where Trump is.

There was a post on LinkedIn about am unexpected side effect of the critical mineral issue on medical imaging. Apparently pretty much all medical grade gadolinium comes from China. The author estimated that about 40% of MRI scans performed in the US would not be possible if China decides to stop the export of gadolinium.
