Donald I, emperor of the world.

He seems very popular with all the other countries representatives wanting to come up and shake his hand

That's called diplomacy. Sod all to do with friendliness, as demonstrated here by President Macron.

Well it's two faced then. You either are genuine or false. I would say all the other countries are false and are just sucking Upto Trump, because they fear losing out, either in trade or military.

They are looking out for their own position at home- shock horror, countries being selfish

Most on here bitch how trump is doing things for his own country, sod everyone else, but it's diplomacy when other countries do it.

Everyone does it, it's just trump does it loudly because USA is the world superpower

No, other countries are doing it to protect themselves from Trump. Selfishness for a very good reason.

And the USA is not the superpower it thinks it is. For example, right now, there's not a single cargo ship crossing the Pacific for the US. Canada, Mexico, South America nations, yes, but not the US. There are now reports of layoffs in ports in the Western US. If the tariffs stopped tomorrow, it'll take approx. 30 days to get the supply chain back on track.

Countries are now learning to live without the US. Not the sign of a superpower.

You're dreaming, of course the US is a superpower

Yes it is, but Trump has spent a huge amount of political capital for not that much gain. And the MAGA agenda will prove to be the most ironic acronym in history, because it represents an approach that in the long term will not preserve the US's status. Isolationism merely creates an international vacuum for others.

"They need us more than we need them" mentality gets another victim.

In the past 3 years we have learned that the Russian military aren’t as powerful as we once thought.
In the past 3 months we have learned that America as a superpower isn’t what we once thought.

And the gullible learnt that the cosplaying Trump not only does not have a superpower at all, but that he's an actual moron.

I see people are still getting confused about a country and it's leader.

Countries don't elect leaders, people do. You can take people out of a country, some do that illegally.

Empires are ruled by Emperors.

States are led by Statesmen.

Countries can variously be ruled by Kings or led by .....

In the new age one elected leader of a country declares himself King, but really he's just a ....

That makes Trump for all intents and purposes a 'king ....
