Without commenting on the quality of its shows, of which i havent gone out of my way to watch since about 1995, Disney makes Billions of dollars. Its doing alright for itself. it raked in nearly 100 billion last year. I dont think its being kept alive by anybody but their own profits.

Not only that, but Disney isn't stupid and they recognise that they have both huge national and international markets that they do *not* want to anger. Red-necks in pickups with collections of thousands of guns is not their core audience. That's kids, the middle classes and quite a lot of the LGBT community, not to mention the work they have been doing to attract the Latino and African-American communities. If they chose to de-pivot on diversity they would be in for a world of financial pain.

And as you say, they have the money and position to be able to ignore the Trump Government. I'd imagine as well that they will be thinking this is a 3 year storm, and afterwards they can sue the crap out of Trump and the US Government.

Look, come on, a sense of proportion please. Who are the greatest enemies of civilisation alive today? Obviously, Gary Lineker, Dawn French, Kneecap and Bob Vylan. All four have shown that their actual or implied hostility to the mass murder of Palestinians has crossed the line such that only words like 'disgraceful', 'horrific, 'appalling', 'unacceptable' and the like are fit to describe them.
And the thing is, we haven't noticed that obsessing about these terrible people has taken up hours of media time and acres of media space. And we haven't noticed that while they've been talking about words, churning out words about words, more and more words about words, actual live human beings are being killed. We haven't noticed that.

I dont see anyone crying outrage for the many African wars that have been raging , killing hundreds of thousands if not into the millions Congo for instance.

No major comments on wars still raging today Yemen, Syria

Most on here are only outraged because it's Israel

Many years ago I posted on a cycling forum about some police who were stopping cyclists because the cycle lane was closed. In part of my post, I asked whether they shouldn't be catching more serious criminals instead. A policeman replied and said how everyone, including burglars, always said that. All these years later, I realise the same is true for a mild bit of genocide - surely there are worse criminals out there.
