Why not? Yer wrong.

No it is not. Wrong again.

It wasn't. Wrong.

That's that disassociation psychosis thing from you innit?

Wrong.

Off you go - back under your bridge. There's a good boy.
You've got another day of being Schmidt to look forward to tomorrow.
I can get you a pen pal in Africa if you like.

Looks like you're getting your opinions mixed up with facts again. I'm just pointing out how I see it and clearly it annoys you, but feel free carry on bitching.

And maybe you can explain why you make it such a personal thing with you hatred of a particular foreign head of state? I'm no fan of Trump but would be good to know what gets so many lefties frothing at the mouth.

Do you have any American friends (as opposed to colleagues)?

This thread can admittedly turn into a bit of an anti-Trump/MAGA rant, but it’s not especially personal about the convicted felon. It’s symptomatic of the wider malaise in the US and the knock-on effects that are happening across the world (too many examples and they’ve been highlighted here many times).

It reflects the views of all our American friends in the UK, and many of my US colleagues who I’m close enough with to talk politics at work. And most of them claim to be historically Republicans.

What do you have to add? Do you support most of Trump’s policies? Add something to the debate if it bothers you so much…

I have US friends and in-laws.

It doesn't bother me that much which is why I don't post much on this one. But maybe you can tell me gets so many people so riled - you seem to be a bit more rational about it than some.

I suppose you can argue where on the political spectrum it is, but you're not contesting the bitching bit. I prefer a decent debate myself.

Do you have any empathy for the woman who gave birth to her still born in a detention centre whilst her feet were shackled? Care to respond? You ducked this point earlier.
Or the 7 year old boy who was getting treated for cancer and got deported?
Are you that callous and thick skinned you haven't felt obliged to express an opinion on these incidents?

This won't endear yourself in any shape or form.
Just more condescension.

Wrong on many counts, just wrong. Bollox deflection speak.

Are you on the autistic spectrum? I recognise those traits as my daughter is autistic She's intelligent but lacks expression of feelings and empathy. Tinman shows similar traits.

See how many boxes you tick:

A man devoid of expressing emotion could be described as emotionless, stoic, or impassive. He might also be experiencing alexithymia, a condition characterized by difficulty recognizing, expressing, and describing emotions. This lack of emotional expression can stem from various factors, including cultural norms, personality traits, or underlying psychological conditions.

Here's a more detailed look:

  • Emotionless/Impassive:
These terms directly describe a lack of outward emotional expression.
  • Stoic:
This suggests a tendency to suppress or endure emotions without outward display.
  • Alexithymia:
This condition is specifically characterised by difficulties with emotional awareness and expression. It's not a mental disorder itself, but it can be associated with other conditions like autism spectrum disorder.
  • Normative Male Alexithymia:
This term refers to the tendency for men to conform to cultural norms that discourage the expression of certain emotions, leading to difficulties in emotional recognition and expression.
  • Emotional Detachment:
This refers to a state where a person struggles to connect with their own or others' emotions, and it can be a symptom of various conditions.
  • Psychopathy:
While not always the case, some individuals with psychopathy may also exhibit a lack of emotional expression, though this is often accompanied by other traits like a lack of empathy.

    Schizoid Personality Disorder:
This disorder is characterized by a detachment from social relationships and a restricted range of emotional expression.
