The noise that trolls make and all the futile attempts to use logic and/or ridicule to push back just keeps all discussions circling around the same cesspits (or septic tanks, if you will), and drowns out useful discussion.

I would respectfully disagree, I think we need to push back against all the lies and misinformation. It may not change their minds but it let's them know that there is constant opposition. The moment the opposition stops it will become even worse and more persistent. I am referring to all MAGA muck spreaders by the way, not just our resident MAGA hat wearer.

And that's what the trolls rely on to keep on taking up bandwidth: it's the 'flooding the zone' tactic that makes people turn off from bothering about assessing truth from disinformation. It's hardly as if constantly arguing against our resident magabot here is going to change his mind or anyone else's, and if anything, it's only going to further entrench division rather than to find points of agreement between different points of view, which is the only way eventually politics can get away from the dire state it's in at the moment.

That's different, and reporters should be pushing back much harder on Trump (and Farage) much harder than they are, especially given how thin-skinned Trump (and Farage) are. Online trolls are a whole 'nother thing, and they are best left in their safe spaces of Truth Social and X to wave their willies at each other saying how they've owned the libs, while standing on the ashes of their kingdom.

That'll certainly be Disney's calculation, that it's only going to be tiny blip, and that sucking up to Trump will pay off in the end. I suspect that all the people who say they'll never watch Disney again will be like all the people who said they'd give up beer when it reached £1 a pint.

The weird thing is that not so long ago Disney was despised by MAGA for being too woke.
I suspect it won't be too long before they are despised by both sides. Left hate them now, MAGA will revert now the job has been done.

I know a few of the Councillors there. I’ll have words about their lack of respect to someone the vast majority of the UK, myself included, had never heard of until his murder.

I asked on of the Councillors I know who was present at this meeting. It was broadcast online and the Reform Councillor joined remotely. Before the meeting went live he was sat poolside wearing just shorts and zoomed in to just a headshot before it went live. Basically he was looking for any excuse to get out of the meeting and back to the pool. I’m shocked!
