The NHS was a good model. It's just that we have an ageing and less fit population so the NHS is busting at he seams.
Whatever 'model' exists within societies with different demographics. I don't think any 'model' would work if it doesn't successfully promote the ethic of prevention: a fitter, more active population with a better diet.

He tore a ligament in January, paid the first 850 and immediately his GP said " Now is the time to get as many things done as possible, everything is free for the rest of the year!"

He'll either get it or he won't. If he doesn't will he just walk away no longer interested in peace anywhere? If he gets it will it be "in the bag" so no longer any need to spend his time on peace anywhere?
