"Trump says a full US-China trade deal will be signed "pretty soon" - but there is no ink on paper, and that is the crucial part right now."

DJT's limited attention span on display again.

They smiled a lot, nodded their heads and shook hands. That's a deal, isn't it?

The kind of deal Xi, Netanyahu, Starmer all like.

We all know how much of a fück the current United States regime give about legal niceties, though.

True. They can screw up their own country as much as they like.
When it comes to international matters though there are two parties, one of which may not be quite so subservient.

My point was that there's no difference between a verbal and a written contract with the US regime. Neither of them are worth the ink used to write them.

That’s what I was thinking. Trump is a law unto himself. A sharpie scrawl means what he wants it to on that day.

Yeah, and my point was that some countries (not the UK obs) will take exception to that.

I think we are saying the same. The US regime has demonstrated that the rules based international law is a fig leaf and when it doesn't suit they'll wipe their ärse with it.
I think you mean "any" rather than "international".
