Do you think they'll try to give him the Zelensky treatment?

Depends if its televised, depends if the orange criminal has taken his medication, depends if his henchmen are there to pile-on.

It might well give Mamdani an opportunity to showcase some charm and intelligence tho’.

That was my thinking. I suspect he is more than capable of dealing with the Nelson and Jimbo tribute by Trump and Vance, it could be amusing to watch.

They won't televise it because Mamdami would come out of it better. Anything Trump tries to do at this point will be flagrantly anti-demicratic and even if it's not televised, Mamdami will be able to use it to his advantage. I am fairly sure he's not going to go in there and kiss the orange arsë like so many others. He's a genuine threat and he knows he is.

I mean, Trump hasn't even got his own font. No contest.

The ideas or Karoline Goebbells' denials?

Just all of it. I don't think viewers are going to buy the "Nazi swastikas are divisive but OK to use" storyline and the execute Democrats strand is going too far away from an acceptable reality. We need to pull back and focus on the senile President storyline.

Only if Mamdani behaves like a dickhead

Not likely. I think people would've noticed that before the mayoral election.

Every time I visit Washington, DC, I feel that the ground has shifted. My sense now is that America has entered what this week we are calling the Anything Goes Era. Skirting the rules is all right if you have political protection. Wealthy individuals rest easy knowing that their tax returns will not be audited. The Department of Justice has dropped prosecutions of politicians for corruption. Its public-integrity unit has been gutted. The Foreign Corrupt Practices Act, a post-Watergate piece of good-government reform, has in effect been shelved. President Donald Trump has pardoned a cryptocurrency mogul jailed for money-laundering and the son of someone who gave his political movement $1m.

It's converging with Russia in more than one sense.

Seems kinda bad. 'Potentially divisive'? Yeah, right. Next they'll be saying that pointy white hoods are acceptable rainwear.
