The US should not install any regime. That should be the right of Venezualans otherwise you are just replacing one virtual dictatorship with another.

But as long as Trump is happy so are you.

To be fair, and not to in anyway downplay what Trump has done, but the USA has a long history of otherthrowing govts, particularly in Central and South America. It is always fundamentally about their economic interests.

Oh, the situation in Venezuela is a long way from being settled. Same goes for Ukraine and Taiwan. Ukraine is more convenient for Putin than Venezuela. Nice circular jerk though.

If you believe he is up to speed on the geo politics then you are mistaken. He is being fed stuff by those behind him and, because of his narcissism it is easy to make him believe those are his ideas and, of course, they are great ideas. You just have to listen to any speech he makes and it is clear he does not understand the details and his mind starts wandering and he reverts to bluster and showing off.
