Panama Canal also on his wish list.

Nobody has done more for NATO than me, in every way
Then dodged the question on the probable destruction of NATO by annexing Greenland

It's no wonder everything's screwed when the press calls that display of a decomposing brain that's holding the world to a lunatic's ransom "expansive and enigmatic". FFS, he's away with the fairies. WTF are they afraid of? I'm going to look over on the BBC and see if Chris Mason has chipped in with some scintillating prose detailing how sanguine he was...

Complaint made, despite lack of green ink. It's even worse when you see the whole panel: it's like he's reporting to a concerned relative about their elderly relative in a care home he's just visited, and he's trying to cheer the concerned relative. It's irresponsible. This is the madman threatening to blow the world up.

Sorry, this was the full first panel.

The thing is you can tell he realises that Trump is batshit crazy from the euphemisms he's using, but won't say it. "President Trump does not appear to be mentally well, judging by this erratic performance" would do.

To be fair, Gary O'Dononghue is usually a little more forthright when he is live on air. I am guessing given the ongoing Trump/BBC case that he is being rather too circumspect.

This is the BBC all over. Americast is shockingly kind.

When a listener text commented that Trump is in his 80th year, they gasped and all agreed that he has so much energy. They use words like ‘mercurial‘ instead of ‘rambling and bloody confused’.

I miss the Jon Sopel’s look of disgust and distain when reporting during the first term.

If they can't report more than just what they see, factually, they shouldn't be offering euphemistic opinions: just report what Trump said and let the reader work out that Trump is nuts. Maybe O'D thinks he's giving a wink to his readers, but it's deeply unhelpful, as it reads like he's excusing him (particularly given that Trump enablers need all the ammunition they can get to excuse his craziness).

And another thing……

Their broadcast ‘Jan 6th capital riots’ was a disgrace.
