I went to see what this 'awful' looked like and it was just a bit vanilla, that's all, not awful per say.

Not much to add really beyond what's already been said. It's essentially an incredibly basic promo reel created by the kind of person who thinks they're all that but really isn't.

No need to apologise, I could have avoided the thread if I wanted to. Usually go in blind to films, but I didn't think there would be many spoilers for this...

Even the most ardent MAGAlyte can't have seen the point. Without Amazon's backing it wouldn't have had such high production values, and might actually have been better for it.

It's not bad, or good, it just sort of "is". Is it possible to feel "whelmed" by a film?

If it wasn't for the subject, the director and the funding it wouldn't have generated anywhere near as much interest.

I'm really not sure why Amazon pushed it out in cinemas, and I suspect if they'd put it out on Prime. Apparently there's a series coming out too, which I can't imagine will add anything.

They'd have been better off acquiring the rights to this and making a grubby sexploitation giallo film:

It was a vanity project for Melania paid for by Bezos to keep in Trump's good books. With Melania having a lot of editorial control and being involved in the production side it was unlikely to be any good, or very informative.
