Not made up. See above
I've just got this sneaking suspicion that King Brian might not be that keen on the notion. But as King Don has probably just made this up, it's probably not going to be in his inbox anyway. Maybe the next move will be to suggest that the UK should be the 52nd State. Or at least Scotland, and then Putin can have the rest.

Trump does not respect NATO but is considering to be part of the Commonwealth.
If a Commonwealth country gets attacked or is threatened...

On further trade issues. I read that American trade delegates are basically begging all countries to supply them with eggs at a “fair” price in order to get enough, and lower prices.
Two things.
1. You can’t ask countries to do you “a solid” while in a trade war.
2. Lowering prices will make American farmers lose money and go out of business. Increasing the reliance on imports.

Way to go Dumpster.
Maybe worse in that despite US threatening to take over Greenland, US was asking Denmark to help them out with supplying cheap eggs.
US turns to Denmark as it hunts for eggs despite Trump’s threat over Greenland
Danish Egg Association says US asked if it could export eggs as prices surge despite president’s promise to lower them
...
Donald Trump has also threatened economic sanctions unless Denmark hands over control of Greenland to the US, and said this week that he thought the US would eventually annex it – despite its status as an autonomous territory of Denmark, a member of the European Union.

We have to read between the lines here and i'm not sure I can.
Any suggestions other than what I have suggested?

If that report is accurate, I can only assume it's part of the epic fence-sitting that Starmer is attempting to avoid tariffs: offer something absolutely meaningless to someone who likes to think of himself as a king.

WTAF is happening to the world?
If it is true, very daft from a political perspective as well as guaranteed to encourage more in the UK towards republic sentiment. Trump is not popular in the UK so our unelected, undemocratic head of state extending Commonwealth membership to such an unpopular individual contrary to the probable wishes of the population would be beyond stupid.

I've not seen surveys but I suspect/hope Starmer's "fence sitting" is not seen as a sensible way forward. Feeding the needs of a narcissist is not going to help the UK. Trump has already shown how he will happily lap-up the attention then ignore the wishes of the UK (last I heard UK steel is subject to US 25% tariffs and Tata and British Steel tell MPs their customers are seeking alternative suppliers or asking for compensation. Maybe that's what we can expect from fence sitting, just telling Trump we are happy just to be pushed around on his whims.

Canada too. Basically, every country in the world. The man has no shame, but is desperate.

I don't think this would sit comfortably with the Canadians. They have already expressed their concern that our King has not commented on their sovereignty in the face of Trump's wishes (real or not) to annexe Canada.
Are we now spineless? Or just too economically weak/insignificant (post Brexit) with no real leverage?

I suspect a combination of both along with fence sitting Starmer hoping for a good trade agreement. Which he won't get. "America first!"

It's cute how that lass has picked a line from a book and probably* not read the rest of it.

*I'm being generous, she clearly hasn't.
