I see The Guardian has gone down the route of ‘either accept all our snooping cookies or pay us’. Seems a bit off message for the voice of liberalism.

Given a choice between a paywall and cookies, I think I'd choose the latter. You can set your browser to remove some/all cookies on closing.

Legitimate interest is very broad according to ICO. I've had a number of arguments (some going on for months and many e-mail "exchanges of views" where an online purchase with "No marketing" options selected yet they've passed my details and my purchase details to TrustPilot who start SPAMing me wanting me to submit a review. My argument is that it's marketing as any review will be public to anybody using the reviews as well as the retailer's own site presenting their TrustPilot rating. Retailer argues it's intended for their internal service review and thus "Legitimate Interest".

So a republican government is not going to subsidise an opposition party through funding

So if these people said they would stop sending funds to the Dems would Trump give them their status back?

The bit I have read about - while agreeing that 95% + of donation got to the Dems - this is donations from the PEOPLE not the organisation

So should an organisation's status in legal terms and tax terms be determined by who works there??
