Why I know that DOGE is doing a good job, why would anyone not want to cut waste, fraud etc. What the Democrats don't like is that Musk did it with such swift results.

Not to be surprised really, Musk is known for getting things done.

This is true. Because "it's common sense" and "it stands to reason" are far more accurate representations of reality.

Ever noticed how people for whom something 'stands to reason' have never made a reasoned decision or held a reasoned perspective in their lives?

And I still have no idea what 'common sense' is actually meant to be. I've asked regularly, probably since I was 5 or 6, and never got an answer, workable or otherwise. Funny, that.

Just plodding along as always.
Hopefully we can remain smug after our next General Election. They say it's better to learn from other people's mistakes yet there seem to a fair few people in the UK prepared to ignore the warning from the US and believe everything our very own Trump lite tells them about unicorns and sunlit uplands free from horrible foreigners / foreign influence or how doing stuff to protect the planet is woke and bad. Some even post on here.
Oh come on, you trust and expect The Great British Public to act in a sensible manner and do the right thing?

How quaint and naïve... Where have you been living, in a cave or something? :giggle:

'Common sense' is the trump card that means you don't have to justify your (probably archaic) POV.

As per many comments: what's the point in negotiating on a Monday, when Trump will change his mind on Tuesday.

Oh dear:

Looks like Trump's ex doesn't like the bigly beautiful bill and neither do Republican Senators. Apparently it's a bit crap and would increast America's debt burden to $2.5 trillion.

I say they should stick with it. If ol' Donny is an expert in one thing it's how to lose money and go bankrupt.
But I thought Der Autofuhrer was going to save $2tn?
Oh no wait. DOGE's verified savings are considerably less and may actually cost US taxpayers money.

Such as what had happened following the illegal removal of staff from the Institute of Peace.

Looks like the bromance is over. It never really felt like it was anything other than a total sham to be honest, and I guess two narcissistic egotists in a relationship was never going to work out.

Normally you'd expect to feel some kind of sympathy for the perceived "wronged" party in a breakup, but not so much here.
