Remember when this was just the plot of a film?

"In a dystopian future, four journalists travel across the United States during a nation-wide conflict. While trying to survive, they aim to reach the White House to interview the president before he is overthrown.
The film is shown from the view of the reporters/photographers who share an unbiased view of the war. Though some of the dialogue suggests the President was not on the side of good. Such as the president getting more than two terms in office, bombing US civilians and having reporters shot on sight. Which suggested the Western forces had banded together to bring down a corrupt government."

I hypothesised on release that Civil War may well be a prediction.

Meanwhile in LA it all kicking off.

Trump sending in the National Guard against the state governer‘s wishes, while Hegseth is sending in the Marines.

This could get nasty.

Well this seems a perfectly normal way to deal with immigration issues...

My impression, Trump leapt at the slightest excuse to "Send in the National Guard", all about his wider electorate, all presentation rather than what is actually happening in LA. Nothing to do with protests, more how tough he is etc.

Ask yourself who benefits from the violence and who is stoking the flames.

The Democrats are losing their mind over deportations. Their followers are panicking, decided to let loose.

Classic FAFO moment, LA police did nothing, so President has sent in troops to restore order and continue with deportations

He promised there are no sanctuary states or cities where illegal migrants can hide.

Hes delivering on campaign promises

It is a very useful distraction from his rather public break up with Musk.

ICE crackdowns in democrat states happening now isn't coincidental. It is meat and potatoes to his core electorate. Plus it keeps anything Musk tweets out of the headlines.

He is just itching to send in the marines.

Don't kid yourself he doesn't understand perfectly well.

They say some people just want to watch the wold burn - this one just wants to make sure the people screaming in terror and agony as their skin combusts and their contorted faces melt away are the 'illegals', the libtards, the wokes and the lefties. Like you and me.

He'd pull the trigger & lob the molotovs & burning bins himself, if only he could scrape together the guts.
