So Trump has assessed the evidence (not yet presented to the Jury) and made a judgement on the case

Think of all the money that could be saved without all thus useless court infrastructure, high paid judges, lawyers, etc. just leave the decision to Trumpton and justice served ... it would be interesting to see if Trump has any justification beyond "he's my friend (today) so should be above scrutiny". what sort of world do these people want us to live in, rule of "best mates" rather than any sort of "laws".

This is going to go very wrong slowly and then quickly: businesses aren't going to have enough workers, and the poor and old are going to die in short order when their insurance runs out and Medicaid won't help. Preventable diseases are going to have a field day as RFK Jnr sows distrust and limits vaccine access. And all the while the very rich are going to get even richer in their castles.

The 6/3 split was completely down partisan lines.
The problem going forward is that these new powers will apply equally to a Democratic President. So all these new powers being given to Trump may well come back to bite in the next presidential race.
Removing checks and balances is never a good move. They are usually there for a reason.

The midterms will tell us a lot about whether what's left of a constitution that's looking very shaky is going to make it to 2028, whether that's because the Democrats actually manage to take back the House, or because the Republicans have so damaged voting systems and democracy that the result is actually democratic. It really is teetering on the abyss in several ways: if the Republicans really do de-fang the judiciary, I think it's game over.
