If the lies Donald keeps spouting about Epstein does not buy the MAGA's back, the whole pack of cards comes tumbling down. Trump will not be able to spout 'stolen election' or anything for that matter. He's too narcissistic to step down and the longer he stays, the better.
My optimistic side is hoping this will happen.
Interesting MAGA flip: usual clickbait title but still worth a watch. I like Keith Edwards, he's not so hyperbolic.

The MAGA base think of Trump as the anti-state man. The bloke who will fight the elites. The bloke who stands up and spouts about conspiracy theories. The bloke wo will fight the deep state and will 'drain the swamp'.
But now all of a sudden, that's flipped on it's head -Trump is hiding behind judicial process (like he's cared one jot about judicial process up to this point), he is covering a possible conspiracy (Epstein suicide), that he is part of the swamp and the 'deep state' by not showing the transparency that he campaigned on. The master of deflection cannot deflect this one - it won't go away and the more Trump protests and threatens legal action and the more he offers snippets of the files without full disclosure, the more the MAGA's want to know what he's hiding.
Trump is a fraud to the vast majority of rational thinkers. He is fakery personified and the MAGA base let 'indiscrepancies' go, past failures and contradictions because he was the anti-state politician who spoke for the people but that's all crumbling
Unfortunately, what isn't at the tip of people's conclusions about Trumps relationships with Epstein, is the victims of that paedophile network. The emphasis is all about the lies and the cover ups. We must never forget over 1000* sex trafficked females over 2 decades, softened by Ghislaine the recruiter and sucked into this insidious web.
*Search Theresa Helm, a victim of Epstein who now heads an anti- sexual exploitation lobby. So you heard me right, we're not talking about dozens. Do not forget, Prince Andrew settled with Giuffre after a sexual assault on her when she was only 17.
The few that have come forward are the very tip of the iceberg. Imagine if the rest came forward if they felt safe enough to do so, what they would reveal about their 'clients'. And that brings me full circle; the bigger the web, the bigger the implication for Trump supporters; Trump is emerging as an elite who's trying to cover up the past. The very premise to which they supported Trump was that he was anything but. This current wave of Epstein material and Trumps over reaction is making the MAGA's feel duped, betrayed.
As a footnote, Epstein's lawyer has stated that he does not think Epstein committed suicide. Former inmates of the Manhattan prison say of that part of the prison that it is impossible to commit suicide in there, "there's nothing in there that you could use to kill yourself". Checks are carried out regularly.
There are 3 minutes of video surveillance missing and film editors believe that the remaining video is spliced anyway. Epstein's brother does not think he took his own life.
Epstein was taken out by the elite to shut him up. They had to because he knew too much. He was facing life imprisonment and the only way to reduce the sentence was to blab. I'm hoping G Maxwell blabs but the possible threat to her life if there was the faintest chance that she would may just alter what she says and how much she says and diminish the apparent scale of what was a global network of rich paedophiles.

Or TrumpLand will find a distraction, some (irrelevant) documents will be released, story will fade, legal case will take an age and quietly be dropped (Trump won't want to reawaken a by then historic scandal).
I'm no soothsayer but my guess is Trump would rather the drawing had never been found (whoever the "artist" was) and would be quite happy for it to disappear and if it does fade he won't benwanting to restart it all.

He backed down in 2023 in his $500m law suit against Michael Cohen, the E Jean Carroll rape deposition went badly, with his attendance at trial being non existent and his presence on the witness box at the New York civil fraud trial went badly.
There are too many questions surrounding his own predatory behaviour towards women.

I don't know (as in really don't know). Trump is good at manipulating press and manipulating "truth" (or belief from his sycophants). And Trump will be doing what he can to move the headlines elsewhere so I can see his legal case against WSJ disappearing if the issue fades (he won't want to kick new life into a dead story he doesn't want anyway and he's already making so much money through various questionable schemes ...).
