Guns in the US caused >40,000 deaths and >30,000 injuries in 2024, but the dictator has cut $158m from Federal programmes to prevent gun violence. The cuts amount to more than 1/2 of that previously allocated and is in addition to $811m cuts made in April to public safety and victim services programmes.

...along with cutting taxes on silencers. Because all deer hunters need silencers. 🤔

This is the parallel of the hurricane Sharpie incident or the covid era Trumpism “If we stop testing right now, we’d have very few cases, if any,”, but writ large: the pretence that by ignoring data you can make a thing go away. It's trolling on a global scale: libs care about the climate, so let's wind them up by screwing up the whole planet. "What a giggle!!"

More wrong doings in the Republican swamp as Trump acolyte and husband of local GOP party chair and "[voter] for my children and grandchildren to ensure their freedoms and their future", is charged with 10 counts connected with child pornography.
https://meidasnews.com/news/husband-of-wisconsin-trump-delegate-charged-with-child-porn
So it looks like his children and grandchildren will have freedom from him in the future.
Other reports also refer to a previous discovery of child pornography in 2009, which somehow didn't reach the District Attorney's office!

Can Trump read? Trumps (il)literacy resurfaces:
Perhaps you'd like to read it out loud...

On Trumps way back from his Scotland trip on board Air Force One, he was asked a question by a journalist. This is the transcript from her question and Trumps response. It is basically an admission that he was aware of the trafficking. This is the exact unedited audio transcript:

Mr. President,
1.27
look Epstein has a certain reputation
1:29
obviously. I'm just curious, were some
1:31
of the workers that were taken from you,
1:33
were some of them young women?
1:36
Were some of them young women? [Trump] Well, I
1:39
don't want to say, but uh everyone knows
1:42
the people that were taken and uh it was
1:46
the concept of taking people that work
1:48
for me is bad. But uh that story has
1:51
been pretty well out there and the
1:53
answer is yes, they were. Yes, they were
1:55
women.
1:56
[Journalist] What do they do?
1:56
[Trump] In the spa.
1:57
[Journalist] In the spa?
1:58
[Trump] Yeah. People that work in the spa. I
2:00
have a great spa. One of the best spas
2:01
in the world at Maraago. And people were
2:04
taken out of the spa. Hired by him. In
2:07
other words, gone. And uh other people
2:11
would come and complain, "This guy is
2:13
taking people from the spa." I didn't
2:15
know that. And then when I heard about
2:17
it, I told him, I said, "Listen, we
2:19
don't want you taking our people." or
2:20
whether it was spa or not spa, I don't
2:23
want him taking people. And he was fine.
2:26
And then not too long after that, he did
2:28
it again and I said, "Out of here."
2:31
[Journalist] Mr. President, Mr. President, did one of
2:33
those stolen um you know, persons that
2:36
include Virginia.
2:39
[Trump] Uh I don't know. I think she worked at
2:42
the spa.
2:44
I think so. I think that was one of the
2:46
people. Yeah. He he stole her. And by
2:50
the way, she had no complaints about us
2:52
as you know. None whatsoever.

The whole spiel was mad. Is it the wishful thinking of a drowning man?

Just my mental ramblings:

Is Trump getting pushed over the edge by the Epstein pressure?
Will this push him over?
Is he babbling bullsh*t because he's trying to show the world that he's so great (and popular in his head) cannot comprehend why such a great president is under pressure from the Epstein stuff?
Is he simply just in mental freefall?
Are there things going on in the background that see an opportunity to stab him in the back? There's no way the Millers and the Nutlicks et al haven't noticed.
Even if Trump goes/get's pushed down the stairs/get's ousted/sent to the elderly funny farm/put out to pasture, I think there is sufficient numbers of GOP's and MAGA's who will still be curious about the Epstein files. That curiosity will not go away.
If Trump avoids prosecution (which he will), we still need to know what's in the files. It's the can of worms that needs to be opened.

...and on that note. This is an excerpt of the transcript of a podcast/YT video regarding the public's ignorance of the law (myself included) with regards to releasing the Epstein files.

David French, former lawyer political commentator. (I have highlighted a sentence in bold that provides hope):

There's even more civic ignorance about the inner workings of the Department of Justice. Sure. And what was happening in the Biden years is a lot of people like Cash Patel, Dan Benino, JD Vance, others were exploiting the civic ignorance to generate a sense that the FBI was sitting on this giant pile of evidence that it could at any time release to the public, but was not doing it because it was protecting again, you know, the global pedophile ring. All of this is cultivating that most angry, most activist part of the base. But that's not the way the law works at all. I mean, you have grand jury secrecy rules. Grand jury secrecy can be penetrated only for very limited circumstances. And dispelling conspiracy theories is not one of those circumstances. You have evidence under seal because of Maxwell's ongoing litigation. You have an enormous amount of child sexual abuse material in those files that could never be released. Which is why when I put all that out there, that's why I say what I would like to see is the maximum disclosure that is reasonable and lawful. There's a lot of reasons why you don't just dump a criminal file into the public. And so all of these Trump Trumpist folks are advocating for something that they could not deliver on and knew it, right?

Okay. I mean, Cash and Bongino, they're pretty stupid.
I mean, this is such basic stuff… I don't know that Dan Bongino knew. I I just I'll fall on the side of Dan Bongino really thought that he was going to be able to expose the secret pedophile ring once he got in there and looked at the documents. I'm at least open to that possibility.
