Can anyone think of any reason why Trump wants to sack the Federal Reserve Governor?

He said there was "sufficient reason" to believe Cook had made false statements on mortgage agreements, and cited constitutional powers which he said allowed him to remove her.”

Oh the irony…

Things will not improve until someone has the guts to call out that the Emperor has no clothes.
I have reached the point where I now no longer care. Can't feel sorry for those who won't help themselves.
It's a really difficult aspect. In some regards I sometime get to "they voted for him in full knowledge as to what he's like" just as we voted for Johnson with plenty of knowledge as to what he was like (not me personally but our democratic system).

But then I move back to feeling so sorry for those losing their healthcare, where we know how to solve these medical conditions yet deprive so many of treatment, how the drive by the elite few for ever larger bank balances is paid for by the excessive demands on and deprivation of those not in that group, how lives are shortened and blighted by poor health from pollution in the name of profit, ...

They (US citizens who disagree with what is happening) need to directly petition their local congressman/woman, face to face if possible, to get things changed, or at least back to normal. Peaceful protests will achieve nothing other than bringing in the troops, and violent protests will play directly into the hands of Trump (or his handlers).
The only chance (that I see) is for each and every congressman/woman to be facing losing the mid-terms and turn on the leadership.
If that doesn't happen then the US is screwed. No action is acceptance.

PS - We are quite possibly facing the same crap if Farage gets elected and that is not outside the realms of possibility. I remember only 12 months ago there were some who thought the US wouldn't be so stupid as to re-elect Trump.
