Had the misfortune of hearing the widow speak (on a podium with the dead hero of free speech’s photo and some ‘religious’ words) effectively preaching hate and violence at those responsible although it seemed to be with an assumption they were radical libs rather than other right-wing nutjobs.

Well here is an alliance I doubt anyone could have predicted; Marjory Taylor Greene, Lauren Bobert, Nancy Mace, Thomas Massie + Democrats. - All combining together to try to force a vote on the release on the Epstein papers.
They are trying to secure a discharge petition and are one House of Representative vote short. This vote is expected to be delivered this month, with a Democrat expected to win a by election taking place towards the end of the month.

The above popped up on my X feed today and I thought it worth sharing in here. I hadn't heard of Charlie Kirk until his assassination and when I read some of the reactions to it in here and online I thought I'd seek out some of his debates and content. What I saw was a highly articulate young man who would meet people in person and debate his ideas face to face with them. He appeared measured and calm and he didn't come across as the type of person I was reading about in NCAAP or on some corners of the internet. The general tone of the comments I've seen in here about him have been absolutely vile and the impression I get from some posters is that either he had it coming, or what did he expect? Or he didn't deserve to die but...............
For those of you who have been critical of him, footage of his killing is readily available online. It is absolutely chilling and should give you cause to reflect. A man shot dead in front of his wife and children for daring to have a different opinion. Read the fact checking and see if you still feel justified in some of the things you've said about him or whether you've just swallowed whole what your tribe has told you what to think. People criticise CXRAndy for spamming the forum with Twitter posts from random people with no context and yet I see exactly the same thing from other people who carpet the discussions with junk from X that confirms their prejudices about Charlie Kirk and Donald Trump. They never get called out for it because they're attacking the "right targets". Some of the same people who were telling us last week that we shouldn't be gloating at Angela Rayner's downfall "because she's a working class woman" are the same people who are queuing up to spit on Charlie Kirk's grave because he's a religious conservative. Maybe this place is the cesspit that it was recently described as after all?

A cesspit echo chamber perhaps? 😂
