I increasingly see it as a form of civil war. What I don't understand is the apparent passivity of the liberal side.

The liberal side tend to want to be honest and truthful, obey the law, be polite, stick to the rules. That doesn't work against someone who doesn't understand what rules are and is prepared to say anything and everything to get what he wants.

I think he does understand the concept of rules, it's just that he thinks both that they don't apply to him, and anyway he wants to break things, so if they do apply to him, he'll break them anyway.

His carers know exactly what the rules are, and why they *need* to break them to get to their vision of Christian nationalism.

As I understand it, These 'courts' are merely mechanisms for mediation/arbitration, requiring the consent or agreement of the 2 parties involved, before an amicable solution is reached.
That's it.

One of our neighbours threw the Sharia law in London thing at me yesterday.

I was prepared and asked him whether any foreigners were involved in his recent life saving surgery, whether his takeaways are delivered by foreigners, if his dentist is a foreigner; if he is grateful for their services. Asked him what any foreigner has done to harm him personally in the last year.

I think that's another neighbour who won't speak to me again.
