Raise the minimum wage from $7.50ph, which it hasn't changed from since 2009, and people would be able to afford food without SNAP payments.
And tax the billionaires a bit more?

Yes. It last changed in 2009. And I made a typo, the Federal Minimum rate is $7.25ph but some states set their own, higher than the Fed minimum.

Worse than that, it's only $2.13 for tipped employees, so people are literally relying on the kindness of strangers to make their wages up to the legal limit.
I think California still has the highest Federal minimum at $16 p/h which is bigly waste and needs to be STOPPED!

According the the most recent US Census, the majority of people receiving Snap (86%) are employed. Like Universal Credit, it's designed to make up the numbers to a minimum wage for people on low incomes who work shifts, don't have regular hours and have no sick pay etc.
It's not as simple as "getting out there and working", which for some people is next to impossible.
But yeah, demonise the poor. It's all their fault.
I suppose it makes sense to pick something you don't understand as a scapegoat. If Donnie hadn't been born into wealth I reckon he'd be a door to door salesman, or something shyster flogging Ponzi schemes. Same with Musk. The idea that either of them have had to work for anything is a joke.

The issue is that 20 hours a week at a minimum wage level, that hasn't changed in 16 years, is not going to help.

I didn't say it was their fault, but having routine is good for mental health, self esteem.
Snap was never designed to be like universal credit, it was for the most desperate, based on temporary basis if you're able bodied.

Who are the people who are always against increasing the minimum wage regardless of the country? It's always right wingers. Always.
Explain why the minimum wage in the US hasn't changed in 16 years? If that was changed, less people would need benefit payments.
