The ACA affordable care act is an annual $800bn paycheck directly to the health insurance companies. The ACA was drafted by the insurance companies not the democrats

The Democrats get direct payments back from the health insurance companies as reward for continuing the merry go round of syphoning hundred of billions of tax payer dollars, with next to no competition to drive down prices.

Follow the money, it always leads to back to the democrat party
