After Schumer's caving in last night, it's getting quite hard to come to any other conclusion. A battle for the soul of America, and standing up for their constituents was just too much hassle.

It's a delicate balance. They managed to load mo5at of the blame of the shut down onto the Republicans, now are trying to take most of the credit for solving it.

Worth noting that the agreement runs until January 2026. The first mid terms are April. My money is on further disruption during that election cycle.
