Yebbut that judge is CORRUPT, a NASTY MAN, and SHOULD NEVER HAVE BEEN APPOINTED.
Yes Karoline.
The reason given is the icing on the cake.
"The judge ruled that the appointment of the Justice Department's lawyer, Lindsey Halligan, as interim US Attorney was unlawful and violated the Appointments Clause in the US Constitution."
Halligan is seriously over-rated and seriously under-qualified. She was recruited when Trump saw her @ss on the golf course. No, it's true not made up stuff.
Does the statute of limitations apply should Trump appeal the decision to dismiss - as the case was brought within the time limits. (Genuine question I don't know the answer to).Comey looks to be in the clear as the statute of limitations has now run out.

I think in theory they could appeal and stay within the statute of limitations, but that appeal would need to succeed on the basis that the prosecutor was properly appointed, which doesn't sound like a promising avenue.Surely it will fade away like many vengeful law suits that yield nothing and be superseded by imminent bombing of Penguins and Seagulls not coughing up tariffs.
Heard nothing about the beeb recently.
Revenge anger is short lived and sporadic in Dementia patients.

I am not sure whether the judge made any obiter statements on the various other seemingly fatal flaws in the prosecution. Such as a grand jury of one person.
Seems more likely to me that they will fabricate something new on Comey, at least. The other prosecutor's case? They will just refile I think.
I'm uncertain with Trűmp. He might be forgetting what he had for breakfast a few hours ago but he seems very capable of holding a long term grudge. I recon much of his hate of Ukraine comes from him remembering how Zelensky refused to investigate Hunter Biden when so requested to by Trump years ago. Where most sane people would quickly move on, Trǔmp seems to prefer hold grudges for the long long term.Surely it will fade away like many vengeful law suits that yield nothing and be superseded by imminent bombing of Penguins and Seagulls not coughing up tariffs.

They do say that as you get older your short term memory decreases while your long term memory improves. My own experience of dementia in family (my Dad) and whilst he would forget what happened 10 mins ago, he seemed to retain a lot of memories from before his dementia started, some from his early life in great detail.
(Completely off-topic and probably deserving of its own thread but) in some respects it went a very small way to mitigate his condition, that he could still remember his younger days and took some pleasure from those memories, sort of clinging to who he was, that he was still a person who had done stuff. They do say that as you get older your short term memory decreases while your long term memory improves.
Nice to know that the memory files are still in there and just need to be accessed.
