Strikes me as a distraction tactic from Trump.

Russia has come out against. And will also be on the other side of anything that happens in Iran (given they need a supply of cheap Iranian drones). I can't see any of this leading to peace in Europe.

So he’s now started one more war than he’s stopped.
Way to go, Donnie draft dodger.

But when he stops bombing then he can claim it as another war he has stopped alongside all the ones that are still going, never started or are between countries he’s invented.

What - Russia is going to attack Europe on horses in proper Cossack style?
What is the manifestation of the disruption of trade with Iran (apart from another downturn in revenue)?
Russia no longer has the resources, the military hardware or the man power for a conflict in Europe. Ukraine is squeezing them dry. People are still in the mindset that Russia is a super power that possesses a huge nuclear threat.
Russia failed just recently to do 2 ICBM test launches. It is a rapidly failing state.
These events just may be the unravelling of Putin. Too many external pressures, too many internal pressures and flailing allies.
Not only that, he finds himself suddenly at odds with Trump. It was all so rosy and amicable in Alaska.

My concerns rest with the innocent people being bombed in Venezuela. They have had to endure a dictatorship and are now being physically attacked.
It seemed that it was much better for Trump* politically and personally to support Maduro. What sort of f*ckwit mafioso is he?

*Note: for Trump.

I'm past caring what happens within the US borders. They voted for this.
What is of concern to me is what is happening outside of the US borders, and none of it is good.
I'm also at that point. Similar to other countries eg I never voted for Johnson but our system elected him so I bear some responsibility as "we" elected him as our leader.

I recognise that breaking from the US will have an economic impact on us but it's got to happen at some point so better we get on and form new strong alliances elsewhere but this time without the dependence and with more reliable parners and allow the US to take the path it has chosen for itself.
