Along with the senate voting for limiting war powers, there's plenty of pushback.
Pity this has to happen as the constitution requires a vote on conflict anywhere.
Trump's speech in Detroit was deranged. Some bloke shouted 'paedophile protector' as he was walking across a mezzanine floor and he seemed to mouth F U, pointed at him and then gave him the middle finger.
As FA above mentioned, he's out of touch completely. He seemed to think he was on a campaign rally with his speech. He's in Detroit where the employees at the Ford plant are living and working and experiencing the effects of Trumpism directly. Like they are going to believe the sh*t coming out of his mouth.
It is estimated that the US lost 65 to 70k industrial jobs in 2025. Maybe they are trying to keep the demented child occupied but if that is so, they picked the wrong distraction.

And of course cheap energy from Venezuelan oil will be helping in about 15 years, when the oil companies have in ested a few billion at a loss to appease a man who will be dead by then. This will help offset a tiny proportion of the massive inflationary effect of moving manufacturing back to the US. It is an economic masterclass.
