I'm starting to think the end of Trump is close

It's not popular with his supporters. Some views here. Note this subreddit supports ICE, but this is too much.

Quick sampling, and they aren't overly keen.

It looks like his ambition to be King of the 'US hemisphere' and get his name on everything is backfiring amongst the people who wanted him to focus on the US. Not that he was going to solve that either, but that's what they thought they were voting for.

That is too subtle. He has to choose whether the UK supports the US taking Greenland, or stands up to the US.
There is no fence.

I think he will be boldly and unequivocally condemning Trump's aggressive stance and punitive tariffs, while at the same time very diplomatically encouraging Denmark to bend the knee, tug the forelock and peacefully - indeed gratefully - surrender Greenland to the dribbling orange God-King.

That's how you do Grown-Up Politics.

A long and fascinating read on how Trump might be unlocking a door that's been firmly closed for a long time. It centres on the internet and anticircumvention laws that the UKS tech companies have forced on the rest of the world as an integral part of making trade deals. Well, what happens when you blow up the idea of trade deals and replace it with extortion? Read on...

Back in February when the tariffs were first announced there was website that gave non-US options for absolutely everything.
Time to search that out again.

I consider myself to be a grown up, and no.
NATO will fall apart. World chaos will begin. Ends in WWIII.

I wonder if we (our leaders) have in some respects brought this on ourselves. When we (our leaders) respond to everything he does (however daft) with flattery eg Rutte calling him "Daddy" with endless praise, Starmer heaping endless flattery , we have shown Trǔmp that to any threat we just roll over and do what he demands with added ring kissing. Trúmp probably expects NATO to stand aside and sell out Greenland by the end of the weekend because we've repeatedly shown him that's what we do.

Had we (our leaders) had a bit of backbone he might be looking to use existing treaties ...

That was the case, and probably exactly what Donnie was thinking.
I think Donnie has pushed them too far.

I suspect.he will be impeached fairly soon, and as usual that will fail in the senate.

The SC may rule on the tarrifs' legality in the next few weeks, which could cause chaos if any of them have a backbone. Most likely that will turn his attention back to domestic matters.

I think ‘a bit of backbone‘ would not make any difference, it would have cause quicker escalation. This was all probably inevitable but a bit of flattery may have bought a little more time to work him out.

Putin knows this and Zelensky found out, but subsequently has managed to tame him a little.

The DoJ has filed motion with the court overseeing the release of the Epstein papers, trying to block the appointment of an independent monitor.

https://www.thedailybeast.com/trump-doj-files-bonkers-motion-to-keep-epstein-files-sealed/

As I understand it, an independent monitor is one who reports to the court about compliance with steps being taken to comply with a judge's order. One was appointed in the Trump Organisation fraud case prosecuted by Leticia James and her role was to ensure compliance, prevent fraud and to vet significant financial transactions

Not exactly surprising.
