The first time I saw Midnight Cowboy was the edited TV version and I couldn't understand the fuss. Then I saw it properly and understood.

It's a great film. The late 60s/70s was a great time for dramatic film making. Best film nominees the same year as Midnight Cowboy: Hello Dolly, Anne of the Thousand Days, Butch Cassidy.

I suspect that Springsteen will be delighted with the direct hit. Given how thin Trump's aging range skin is, it's a miracle that his guts aren't sliding across the floor all by themselves.

Verdict : A nice, watchable film with a few personal touches, but there is nothing 'juicy' in it, it's just her life over 20 days, with a supporting cast of her father (and his Cine camera - Her Mum had died on the 9th of January 2024, a year to the day before Carter's funeral, so a bit was made about that) and a certain Mr Trump.

You'd almost think she was the President, not him.

Verdict: Mostly harmless.
