It's all a bit confusing. Netanyahu appears in a video where he's in a café (as proof of life?) but the image is odd on many ways and the date on the cash register is March 2023.
And the rumour mill will keep circulating until he appears live.
Plus - he did not attend a security briefing. Something he's never done.

I didn't get past the first minute of the first one, where they basically said it's unlikely to be true. That saved me time.

No, but I think it will prolong the war in Ukraine, both in terms of money but in the shorter term, negotiating position with the expectation of more war funds.

any realistic prospect of any gain for Russia from this war as long gone. Any sensible leader/country would have pulled out long time ago. But Russia isn't rational, logical or sensible, so as long as Putin and cronies are still in power it's unlikely to stop anytime soon.

Watching C4 News and apparently Trùmp has asked China to provide vessels to keep the Strait of Hormuz open. Except Iran is allowing Chinese vessels through so why would China risk joining Trùmp's was against Iran. Shows how little Trũmp understands as to what is going on. Which all rather beggars belief given the costs in lives, destroyed livelihoods, destruction, impacts on 3rd Parties (eg helping Putin) and Trűmp really hasn't a clue about any of it.

Think the sad thing is he has he just doesn't care.
