My understanding is that such regimes, military forces, etc. assume leadership are targets and have structures and steps/procedures prepared for when it happens. So US/Israel makes a lot of noise about having killed some prominent leader yet like monarchies, everything already in place to ensure minimal disruption.

And as I'ver noted previously, Afghanistan sets the example of how not to be defeated by even much more militarily powerful invaders, even without the preparation and strategically significant geographical reach that Iran has.

Trump's not going to get his hands on that oil, as far as I can see.

Ireland doesn't have a Prime Minister so they can note that down too.
They have a Taoiseach which is the equivalent office/position.

I notice that Taoiseach Martin pointed out to Donnie that Churchill isn’t necessarily thought of in a good way by everyone.
Shut Donnie up, so good in all sorts of ways.

Ys, the Iranians de-centralised their military so that in the event the head of state dies, things continue.
This was raised in the video link I posted ^ where it was said that even (god forbid), they dropped a nuke on Tehran, the strait of Hormuz wouldn't magically open.
