Totally daft unthought through comment from Trūmp. Just telling ex-allies that there is no point in bothering with the US as US are liable to tear-up any agreements at their convenience anyway. Basically pushing allies to focus more on more reliable partners.
The comment might be true but it's something to use when there is the need not to be blurting it out. Which to me highlights the mind of Trūmp, it's not about achieving anything but rather "look at me and how powerful I am and how you are all dependent on my whim of the moment".

Examples. Sea of Japan- international. Locally called East sea
Persian Gulf- international
Arabian gulf - locally
Uk names the channel English channel
France has la Manche
Gulf of california
Mexico call it sea of cortës
Even countries- Japan is not called Japan, its actually Nippon.
