What you get free. (TV License notwithstanding).
I always thought it was 'ecky thump'.

Oh so broadcast TV.

Clicks aren't viewing figures, so don't believe the Youtube stats.

BARB only counts viewers if they have watched more than 3 minutes of a programme. Youtube counts viewers based on watching more than 30 seconds of a programme.

You (and other) may not like it but for news content, YT exceeds viewing figures on council TV regularly.

And increases the amount of crap fed to people via their internet usage algorithms…furthering the prejudices of those who foolishly think they are above such things.

Given that the leader of the opposition is an imbecile who would have lead us blindly into a war, and the leader of the next most popular party is a borderline fascist who would have need to be lead blindly into a war, can we agree that in the grand scheme of things no one should really give a shït about this particular issue any more?

'Can' is the important word there.

How many people do?

I am sure you do, as well, obviously, as our MAGA representative, but not everyone is so discerning.

Viewing numbers for the more articulate, knowledgeable commentators are actually pretty high though it's hard to determine how many of them are the domestic audience.
If you take the average terrestrial TV report, it can be a matter of a few minutes or in the case of the Iran conflict, maybe 5 minutes. The detail is often missed and the detail is critical to the overall picture.
I am amazed by the BBC reports on the Ukraine conflict for example, they paint a very different picture from the reality and the detail is missed, glaring issues within Russia haven't even been reported on. I'll only watch ITV news and Channel 4 news, Occasionally, I will watch BBC News 24 but I get thoroughly vexed by the anodyne reporting - I wish I didn't have to pay fort he TV license.

Steve Rosenberg (BBC) has a really good channel on YT is worth a look. He does reviews of the papers etc from Moscow.
