Talking of having an out, last night’s shooting at the correspondents dinner is the perfect excuse for cancelling the King’s visit. Safety concerns, blah, blah blah and job done.

Of course the government doesn’t want to cancel, their one, major mistake in this sorry state of affairs.

Poor things. Thoughts and prayers, as that's all they ever give to the *children* being traumatised by such events regularly in America and who have regular 'active shooter drills'.

The US is completely broken. They just need to turn it off completely, leave it for a few years, and then turn it on again, with a clean install of an updated operating system.

Mid terms at risk?
Possible in-house operation?

Well, if so, they've boobed by failing to kill the gunman, who now can be questioned/investigated.

Even so, I'll assume any statments coming from the Trump regime are outright lies. Seems to be a safe assumption, on past history.

Would these be the same journalists that normalise school shootings, and normalise Trump's dementia and authoritarianism and threats against fellow journalists, and still happily turn up at a lavish black-tie dinner hosted by the person who's dismantling their profession? Those journalists?

Anyway, no debate here, let's turn off all replies.
