The 250 yr anniversary has been in the planning for 4 years. It was being orchestrated by a bi-partisan committee. Trump couldn't over-rule the committee as it was ratified by congress. However, he circumnavigated it by forming his own committee and awarding contracts for various individuals for multiple events in his usual nepotistic way.
Almost every facet of these celebrations have been a flop - from the poor security (massive queues yesterday), lack of water causing a fatality and 47 hospitalisations with 7 people in ICU, numerous artists dropping out on account of the event being under Trump's name and so these fireworks haven't worked out either.

The link you gave in your post was to a fireworks mishap during the New York Macy's parade. Perhaps you have posted the wrong link? I'm pretty sure Trump doesn't hire the fireworks company for Macy's.

That link and your post from this morning seem to be 2 entirely different things. One of which has nothing to do with Trump. He's an arse but he's not responsible for firecracker mishaps during the Macy's parade. This forum is bonkers sometimes.

Here's quote which for all intents and purposes, would indicate a funding gap due to Trump's diversion of funding, therefore, if the fireworks went wrong, it's perhaps because Trump syphoned off the money. These celebrations were part of a national scheme:
