I really thought even he and his muppets were going to let that one drift gently off, as with baldy and the great footie sell off, see which way the wind's blowing and all that, after the Danes blew up the airfields. Suggesting they won't be laying on any welcoming parties with marquees and ham and cheese sandwiches. I don't think even magaland is going to take kindly to its troops going up against poster boys for Aryan youth, not least 'cos they're vikings and they're proud and Denmark's said no and Greenland's said no, and the Danes are a proud people, and the kind of people who are committed to things like the rule of law and not pushing people around just because you think you can, and I bet they're well-equipped and highly trained and, you never know, they might shoot back.
But I'll probably prove wrong. He'll surprise us again. Except that we've all got surprise-fatigue by now.

I don't think there's any strategy, and his dementia just means he keeps on circling back to the same comfort themes. It really wouldn't be of any consequence if he were in the comfort home for the terminally confused where he should be, and it were just dementia nurses saying "There, there, yes, Donald, now don't forget to eat your pudding too."

I don't mean so much in the sense of what was behind the original idea (whether it was Trump's notion, or an idea put to him by the tech bros who are pleasuring him), but rather the repetitive social media stuff and the ideas bubbling up over and over again when he's talking (the ballroom is/was another one) suggest that thing with dementia where the same idea comes out several times without any indication that they are aware they have said the same thing dozens of times already.
