“Trump has also recently asked to amend his main case, which his lawyers said would make the document release unnecessary.

The president has asked for his central complaint against the BBC to be amended so it no longer claims the documentary damaged his brands and businesses. His lawyers have asked that the case is amended to claim for damages for "the reputational injury to the President, full stop".”

He’ll probably drop to an out of court settlement for a few grand that he’ll claim is billions as it may be dawning on him what the court case could reveal. Hope not though and that he pushes on regardless and all sorts comes to the surface.

I think he's got yet another two-bit lawyer on the case, as no reputable ones will take him on a client, which might partially explain the thinking he could claim loss of business without showing what business he'd lost... or it might just be Trump taking on a provincial lawyer he knows will be too much of a coward to say "That's not going to fly, sir."

I can’t get my head around how Trump’s reputation can be injured. Unless it’s by accusing him of doing good deeds or something..
